This week's guest is Rob McCall, Director of Fraud Prevention for Crypto exchange & trading platform, Uphold. Over the last 15 years, Rob has moved up the career ladder in fraud while also tackling fraud in several different areas including banking, e-commerce, and now crypto. There are so many great lessons & experiences Rob has had in his career & we're lucky he's sharing a few of those on today's episode including:

  • How he first got started in online fraud prevention, and why having a diverse background of experiences has helped him in his current role as he built the fraud program for Uphold from the ground up
  • What makes Uphold's business model unique, the overall fraud landscape, and some of the most common scams they see targeting their users; along with some of the ways they proactively work to prevent fraud on (and off) their platform
  • The nuances and differences between being a manager and becoming a Director in the fraud space. What his philosophy & values are when leading people, and when communicating potential issues and successes with the rest of the business.
